Graphic Designer

We are looking for a semi-experienced addition to our internal marketing team!

I’m Týna, and I’m looking for a semi-experienced addition to our internal marketing team, someone with the skills and know-how of a semi-experienced person who can step in and replace me starting in January. This would be a temporary position, for at least six months, working about 80 hours per month. After that, there’s a possibility of continuing, though with a reduced hourly commitment. Why? Because I’m going on maternity leave, and my colleagues need someone to fill the empty spot I’ll be leaving—especially the one in my chair, I mean.

How it works in Applifting

Altogether, there are almost 170 of us, and we work without traditional managers. All of our projects are designed to make life easier and must pass an internal ethics check.

For example, we designed a system for faster international organ transplant exchanges and security for a banking app used by millions across Europe.

We also enjoy hanging out after work, and we’re all about transparency and straightforward communication.

What we expect from you:

Proficiency in Adobe Suite.
Familiarity with Figma and the ability to do a thing or two in it.
A good grasp of Gestalt principles and a keen eye for composition.
Interest in design trends and a general awareness of the design world.
Solid understanding of typography rules.
Knowledge of printing processes.
Since this is a freelance position, we assume you already have your own equipment and software.

What you'll be doing?

Working with an established brand and following set guidelines.
Even though you’ll be working within a brand framework, you’ll have room for your own creativity and the chance to bring it to life outside the confines of your mind.
Creating company materials such as posters, handouts, social media posts, e-books, etc.
Communicating with the marketing team, HR team, and generally, with other human beings.
If you have the desire and experience, you’ll also get to work on illustrations, animations, 3D design, or merch creation.
Communicating with print shops, selecting suitable bindings, paper, and materials, and preparing print-ready files.
