MISSION: ONE PLATFORM TO RULE THEM ALL
Heureka Group is the largest e-commerce platform in CEE,
receiving over 20 million visitors per month. They were looking for a solution to unify their data sources, create a common platform, and be a united international online shopping advisor for Central Europe. To embark on a project of this scale, they needed a reliable partner.
CHALLENGE: BREAKING THE MONOLITH
At the time, the platform was a big monolithic application written in PHP.
This increased maintenance costs and presented a complication for further development. Heureka, therefore, proceeded to modernize, gradually moving away from a monolithic architecture to microservices.
