MISSION: SYSTEM MODERNISATION

The original PHP IoT cloud was no longer able to meet the company’s technological demands.

It needed to be refactored to a micro-service architecture based on Node.js and TypeScript. We also introduced the Jablotron team to container orchestration and other modern methods.

CHALLENGE: SAVE TIME AND MONEY

Outdated technology came with high costs.

Maintaining the old system, implementing new functions in it and developing it was time-consuming. Furthermore, the developers only knew about the parts they took care of. This failed to ensure personnel substitutability or continuity of process.

SOLUTION: MORE EFFICIENT PROCEDURES

We worked on cloud development in hybrid teams...

...together with the experts at Jablotron Cloud Services. The new system, which uses open-source technologies, saves time and money. It also facilitates substitutability, know-how sharing and parallel task execution.

This makes the developers more productive by enabling them to focus on development rather than maintenance. This has enabled them to reduce their in-house development team to 4 developers, down from the 10 that were required for the previous system.

Applifting has shown to us how IT things could be done smoothly and efficiently then we have ever experienced before.

I value the most the Applifting’s facilitation on the final product, which helps to clients and saves their time.
