Erste Group Bank AG, one of the largest financial services providers in CEE, operates in 7 countries and manages the finances of 15.7 million clients. They needed an experienced partner to create their developer portal. We helped with the design, testing, and implementation of the API Hub portal connecting each of the 9 banks in the Erste Group.

We had to meet legislative requirements. The new Erste API Hub portal for developers needed to be in line with the European PSD2 directive, while also enabling quick, easy connection to the banking APIs of all the Erste Group banks through a single, purpose-built application.

Three different companies were involved. We participated in the development together with two other suppliers. This placed higher demands on the coordination of the project, for which Applifting was responsible.

Shared cooperation

So-called Hybrid Teams were created. The teams consisted of employees from Erste, Applifting and the two other suppliers. Their aim was to enhance the efficiency of the project. We provided solution architecture and validated existing elements. We shared our knowledge of how to improve development work and set up the most efficient processes.
