The meetup season is back in full swing. Join us for the first Applifting Crew Talk of the new year. We'll discuss recent challenges in BE architecture, such as how to solve the data consistency problem, how to implement processes across boundaries of software modules or microservices, and much more. Save the date 21st of February, book your spot for free, and come to Applifting to enjoy the evening.

You can look forward to presentations by experienced developers Nikolai Barbariiskii from Applifting, Vít Herain from Investown.cz, and Roman Schejbal from the fintech industry.

Nick will do a deep dive into the problem of data consistency, the roots of this issue, and its consequences. He'll demonstrate how we can solve some of them using transactional outbox patterns with Spring Boot and Kotlin.

Vít will show you how to implement processes across boundaries of software modules or microservices. You'll get the chance to look into some practical examples implemented using AWS Step Functions and AWS Lambda with NodeJS and PostgreSQL under the hood.

Roman will talk about wasmCloud, the new kid on the block, and comment on why he thinks the promising future for building distributed apps is without boilerplate code.

This meeting will be especially enjoyed by mid to senior developers.

You can look forward to a themed quiz and win cool Applifting prizes.

The programme starts at 18:00, but the space will be open for you from 17:30. The panel discussion and the online stream are scheduled to end at 19:30, but stick around to talk, grab some food, and do some networking.

For capacity reasons, please let us know if you will attend in person or participate online. The presentations will be streamed, but we would love to see you there.

Come and chat, get to know each other, and see how we think about things at Applifting.

We look forward to seeing you!

Nikolay Barbariyskiy

CEO at Applifting Enterprise

CEO at Applifting Enterprise and Solution Architect at Applifting. Geeking and coding for as long as I remember myself :) Currently, helping our partners with software delivery optimization. I have a (mostly)love/(sometimes)hate relationship with microservices and am a big fan of business-oriented approaches to technologies and development. In terms of "hands-on" work I specialize in BE (JVM stack/NodeJS), and FE (React/Vue) with a little bit of DevOps and just a dash of Mobile development.
