As a Tech Leader at Applifting, you’ll operate at the intersection of people, business, and technology. Your technical expertise will help us stay ahead of industry trends, but your main focus will be working with people. Don’t worry — no chasing KPIs or taking responsibility for others. 😉

We build our new projects primarily using open-source technologies like Spring, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Kafka, ELK and many others. We write SOLID code with a strong focus on quality, security, and efficiency. At the same time, we explore and experiment with new technologies, never afraid to step off the beaten path.

What we expect from you

Leadership
You have experience leading people and aren't afraid to make technical decisions.
Java / Kotlin
You understand their strengths and weaknesses, and you're comfortable debugging and maintaining production systems.
Architecture & Design Patterns
You can design applications from scratch, know when (not) to use design patterns, and can explain your choices clearly, even with UML.
Spring (or equivalent)
You’re well-versed in DI, IoC, and can build a project from the ground up to production.
ORM (jOOQ, Hibernate, etc.)
You understand connection pools, transactions, locking, caching, and the N+1 problem.
Distributed Systems
You know delivery semantics, message ordering, and eventual consistency.
Docker
You can configure and optimize JVM containers without issue.
Testing
You write unit tests by default, are familiar with TDD, and know what and when to test.
Relational Databases
Strong SQL skills, schema design, and deep understanding of materialized views, including their pros and cons.
