About this position

We are looking for an experienced Software Architect to join Applifting. Is it you?

Right now, we are searching for a technically strong and visionary professional who can design robust software architectures and guide development teams from project kick-off to successful delivery. Someone who thinks in systems, asks the right questions, and is able to transform business requirements into clear, scalable, and pragmatic technical solutions.

You will play a key role in defining technical strategies, selecting tools and technologies, and mentoring development teams. We are looking for a hands on architect who enjoys collaborating with developers, product owners, designers, and clients, and who can clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We actively use AI in our daily work. So if you are familiar with AI-driven development, Copilot, ChatGPT, or other LLM tools and approaches, that is a big plus for us.

What we expect from you

Communication with clients and development teams

System analysis and solution design & architecture

Designing scalable, reliable, and performant software systems

Creating architecture and design documentation (knowledge base, diagrams, specifications, etc.)

Hands-on involvement in projects, especially during project kick-offs

Technical leadership and mentoring of team members

Tight collaboration with the implementation team throughout the whole software development lifecycle

Guiding and overseeing the software development process and ensuring adherence to architectural standards

Active collaboration on project proposals (scope, timelines, milestones, risks)

Continuous learning and keeping up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Experience with AI-driven development (tools, models, skill & ruleset definition, MCP, specs-driven development)

Knowledge of at least two programming languages and their ecosystems (e.g. Java, TypeScript, C#, Python, Clojure, F#, Erlang, …)

Knowledge of design patterns (GoF, Enterprise patterns, Microservices, etc.)

Czech or English at B2 level or higher
