Are you a Java addict? Do you wonder how to keep up with all the recent and future releases? Then make time on Thursday evening, June 16 to come to Applifting to hear an inspiring talk by the Java expert Gil Tene from Azul Systems. The event starts at 19:00.

In this session, we’ll take a tour of some of the new features that have been added to the Java SE platform since Java SE 8. At the same time, we will discuss issues that will affect migration of applications from earlier versions and choices for which version to choose for deployment. Gil will address the practical implications of version overlap, long-term supported versions vs. feature releases, and share anecdotal experience, pains, gains, and observed [best?] practices in real-world moves to Java After Eight.

Come and chat with the renowned expert Gil Tene. He is CTO and co-founder of Azul Systems, the world’s most trusted open-source Java platform. Gil holds a BSEE from The Technion Israel Institute of Technology and has been awarded over 40 patents in computer-related technologies.
